As I begin to write this post, I’d like you to understand the extent of my dedication as I am thoroughly stuffed right now and want nothing more than to curl up in bed and fall asleep. I actually allowed myself to sleep until 3pm today! (Something I haven’t done in quite a while). However, I don’t mind napping some more yet here I am, dutifully writing this post for you.
Yesterday I visited the NYC Comic Con which goes down every year in….. NYC, duh! I’ve only been there once and I believe that was in 2010. It was still packed but not as much as that year because they haven’t been merging the Anime Con with it. I wanted to wear this awesome shirt that I ordered just for the day but it ended up arriving today. -_- Go figure. Either way, I put together a last minute outfit and was pleased with the results. I have a nice lot of pics for you to check out so brace yourselves!:
1st stop: Archie!!
Let me explain something real quick. I LOVE Archie. I’ve been reading Archie Comic’s since childhood after being introduced to them by my mother; who also read them when she was younger. I’m not sure what it is about Archie and why he, Betty, Veronica and the rest of the gang continue to have so much pull, even today. I was surprised that there was a constant throng of people surrounding the booth the entire day which made me happy. Some things just never get old.
Who’s your favorite? Betty or Veronica? I can see why Archie can never choose between them; neither can I!
Felix The Cat is another oldie but goodie. I’ve always liked him too and was super happy to see that there was a booth for him.
Ukelele’s and all!
I ended up purchasing a tote bag and lunchbox. I haven’t had a lunchbox like this since I was a kid! Nostalgia definitely took over.
I had to!
