I’ve been up since 8am today and if I’m up at that ungodly hour on a Saturday there had better be a damn good reason.
Well, today, there was such a reason. Today, I participated in a video shoot for a project called“Perfectly Flawed Project” that focuses on raising awareness about the skin condition vitiligo and also helping others embrace their uniqueness.
I am so proud to be a part of this movement created by Telisha Gibson and I honestly hope I can get involved with more projects like these. The shoot was relaxed and comfortable. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised to see and meet two girls who I follow on instagram and also have vitiligo.
(Me taking paparazzi creeper pics)
(then I asked for a photo like a normal person would)
It was a great experience to hear each person share their own stories on vitiligo from when they first noticed loss of pigmentation to how they coped and everything in between. Each person was strong and there was even a little 6yr old girl who was interviewed. She was such a cutie pie and also very brave to talk about how she felt when people teased her at school. Yet, when asked if she knew she was beautiful, she proudly responded with a “Yes”. :’)
Headed out to supa fresh clothing brand Extra Butter for a few…
Annnd I just couldn’t help sporting his newly bought Supreme beanie. 😉
I came home one day to find a bunch of pumpkins on the dining table. That meant it’s pumpkin carving tiiiime! A few days later, we did exactly that.
I’d never carved a pumpkin before. The most I’ve done was paint them, which was still fun, but carving them was definitely a new experience that I’m glad I was there to have. It just isn’t October and definitely not Halloween if there aren’t carved pumpkins around.
Somebody was trying to get in on the fun too.
Mmmm, looks tasty.
This was the first pumpkin and it turned out great!
By the way, the inside of a pumpkin looks kinda gross. lol
Time for round two!!
The mouth looked like the Wu-Tang logo to me. After we drew the face on it though it looked like an orange bat. lol
We got pretty hungry after all that carving and had an amaaazing dinner courtesy of the beau’s BBQ skills. Yum!
This is random but while everyone was outside I took a beautiful shot of the moon. I can’t believe my camera zoomed in so well.
So pretty. ❤
I love our pumpkins and I hope you did too, pumpkin! 😉 oxoxoxox
As I begin to write this post, I’d like you to understand the extent of my dedication as I am thoroughly stuffed right now and want nothing more than to curl up in bed and fall asleep. I actually allowed … Continue reading →
