Hello, all!

Little by little, I’ll be adding more content here so if you already follow me, THANK YOU and please continue to do so as there will be more to read that hopefully interests you as time goes on. ❤

Alright, so being that I’ve been an avid gamer for about as long as I can remember. (My mom even made me play games that were educational yet still fun on the PC as as a kid so you can see where my love for it stems from; those games actually worked too!) As I’ve gotten older, I’ve strayed away from the mainstream games that appear on publications like Game Informer and Kotaku, etc. and have opted more often for indie games instead. A lot of these major games and developers make me feel like they’ve been dishing out the overall same content for years. It’s like taking a gift you’ve already given, tweaking it a bit and re-wrapping it to give away again. Same sh*t!

Before I go further, please don’t expect this to be a post with a bunch of gamer jargon and such because this is not one of those posts. I like video games and have been into them since childhood. I’ll be posting about the games I choose to play and what I like or dislike about them in my own words. If you want in-depth, lingo-riddled game posts, you probably should head over to the aforementioned sites.

ANYWAY, today’s post is about a game I downloaded for my iPad called Bloodmasque. In the game, the player learns that he/she is a vampire slayer and also a half-breed; human and vampire. Since it’s made for devices such as the iPad, don’t go expecting any fancy graphics to compare to consoles like the PS4, etc. However, the graphics, game-play, and music are all very well done for the limits that they must have when creating a game on said device. The storyline has been interesting enough to keep me wanting to know what happens next and the combat style reminds me very much of Infinity Blade (which I enjoyed too). Our protagonist is on a mission to rid the world of the creatures of the night and begins so in late 19th-century Paris, France.

The most fun aspect of the game however, lies not in the story but in creating your character. Bloodmasque allows you to choose from pre-made character parts but also gives players the ability to BE in the game. This is achieved in the beginning in the “creation” process where players are asked to take three pictures of themselves expressing three different emotions: Casual, Pleased, and Angry. Afterwards, one can continue choosing face shape, skin color, and other options that are the norm for games that allow you to create your character.

As I hope you’ve already gotten the hint of, the game isn’t something anyone should except too much from and the biggest kicker to me is watching myself battle within the game and appear in cut-scenes in which my facial expressions will change when necessary between the three pictures I chose. I’ve read some reviews about the game in addition to playing it and have read how some people take it a step further and use a kitten’s face or even their butt for the option of using your face within the game. I haven’t encountered any other players doing this just yet, but I’m sure it looks hilarious when seen.

I’ll probably play this until I get bored as the game does seem like some parts of it can become repetitious so I hope the storyline plays out well.

Here is the best part of this post. Screen shots of myself in the game. XD:

^^ 😀 ^^

Am I the only one who finds this hilarious?

Oh well, at least it has made for a good post!

If you find yourself mildly interested in downloading the app, know that it’s available for FREE for the rest of this week as it has been free for about 1 week now due to their celebration over hitting 500,000 downloads.

That’s a lot of downloads for a game that can easily be classified as cheesy by many. They’ve gotta be doing something right though!

Get yours at the app store!

Until! xoxo

I had a wonderful, chill New Year’s Eve experience this year. It was the first time I spent NYE in my own house in years! (Literally)

Even though I spent it at home with a small group of people, that didn’t stop me (or any of us) from taking advantage of the holiday to glam it up!

Dem shoes though! lol

We watched the ball drop (I refuse to head to the city to do that!) and ate some amazing churrasco. (If you don’t know what it is, TRY IT.)

On New Year’s Day, I sat down to watch the newly purchased visual album by none other than Queen King Bey which was fantastic! I seriously cannot say anything bad about this project. She slayed every song and every video and I’m not even a crazed fan although I do love her. She ended 2013 with the ultimate bang and raised the bar for all artists right now!

SO beautiful!

This pretty much sums up the night, how was your NYE experience?

ImageSo I come home after work and my friend is just sitting on my couch, eating noodles and watching anime like she owns the place.

Comfortable, much?

ImageI head upstairs and decide that I’m going to jump back into my workout routine. Getting back into the jist of things wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be. Actually, I enjoy working out but I wasn’t feeling all that well for the last few days.

I pulled out my ladybug yoga mat that I love so much and did some stretching. Then I watched my favorite workout videos on YouTube (I don’t know what dvd is worth buying so I stick to YouTube for now, lol) and started to pump it! XD

After the main workout I still had some energy left in me so I decided to look up some Zumba videos. Now I’m addicted!

I probably looked like this the whole time:

Not really. It was more like:

Boss status.

This is just disturbing.

Anyway, I did my thing and then I went downstairs to a nice surprise.

A friend of ours stopped by and brought belated birthday goodies!

Thanks @peepmykicks_!!

Can’t go wrong with that!

Then, another friend walks in and she plops this on the table:

How could you?

It’s safe to say, I didn’t eat any last night. Yeah, I’m proud.

BUT, that doesn’t mean tonight I won’t have a go.

Can’t wait to head home!

Oh, almost forgot. I got myself a nice little treat for my day of birth as well.

Until! oxox
